My own…Deep Blue Sea

How miserable is it to call this planet earth, while it is perfectly clear that it is an ocean?
(Arthur Clarke, 1917-2008, English writer)

73% of the earth is covered by water, about 2/3 of its surface is covered with a vast deep blue veil, maintaining perfect contrast in this work of art.

This is art…!!!

Someone is going to say that she hide her beauty under this veil, because the underwater organisms that have the honor to live in this environment must enjoy this pleasure.

I always had the feeling about the unknown, on my vacation I used to spent as much time as I could with a pair of fins and a mask to explore and enjoy the little moments that the sea generously gave me.

Every time that i was reaching the surface, i was always thinking about my next visit to the underwater world, and how I could have the time to be part of it for at least an hour.

Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to get off the coast
(Andre Gide, 1869-1951, French writer)

The next step was to learn how to dive and earn my ticket for my new adventure. As a PADI Open Water Diver when I took my certification I didn’t waste any time and started visiting the underwater world that excited me so much, watching closely every micro-organism that was well-adapted to its environment, the colors, the harmony of their movements, as well as their behavior.

The sea has laws and rules…!!!

So i began to gain courage and get closer to the hidden “treasures”
I moved on to the next step of becoming a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in order to increase the limit of the maximum depth and reached 30 meters.

I began to visit wrecks which they had a story to tell. Glued to the bottom of the sea, with the time stopped and integrated them in complete harmony with the environment, forming an artificial reef that hosted aquatic life, I felt the feeling that I had “conquer” the world.

Tunas often came to meet us and make us happy to observe their unbelievable swimming way. Huge Epinephelus marginatus used to swim with us and make us observers of aquatic life magic.

Free man you will always love the sea
(Charles Baudelair, 1821-1867, French poet)

After a little bit I was totally became part of this world. I was hovering over reefs, in caves, next to rocky walls with gorgeous aquatic-life with impressive colors, and I enjoyed every breath I took from beginning to end.
I am free in a world that knows the meaning of this word very well.

So tell me, how free do you feel?

I belong to the sea, that sea that unfortunately you never dived to see what I am hiding, there is my world inside sea and believe me I will not leave this place…I will stay…
